Automotive Parts Technician

We need an energetic parts professional with a passion for the auto industry to join our service team! We are willing to train so you can grow with us.

SUMMARY: Parts technicians assist walk-in and phone customers with parts inquiries and purchases; price parts for customer vehicles; fulfill technician parts orders; advise customers or service advisors on receipt of back-ordered parts; ensure warrantied parts are properly tagged and returned to the factory for full credit; ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed to repair customer vehicles; and accurately handle costing of parts on repair orders.

Essential duties

· Greets walk-in & phone-in customers, assisting them in selecting required parts & suggesting companion parts

· Estimates costs of parts for repairs

· Determines availability of parts not in stock & places orders

· Receives & records payments from customers

· Answers phone calls, providing price quotes and other information

· Sets up orders for daily shipments, delivery, or pick-up

· Assists service technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs in process

· Notifies service desk and customer that ordered parts have been received

· Is friendly, professional, & efficient when working with customers & co-workers
